Please note Wetsuits are required for this event. This event is a timed event where all finishers will receive a medal and a total race time for their chosen distance.

Discounted entry for BTF members, Wessex Swim School staff, pupils, sponsors, armed forces and all those in the Scout and Guide associations.

Venue

Eastleigh Lakeside Park just off the A335 to Eastleigh from Junction 5 of the M27 and about 5 to 10 minutes walk from Southampton Airport (Parkway) railway station and Southampton Airport.

Course

An outdoor open water swim, followed by a flat lapped ride in the lake grounds for the Tri Star and Tri Starts then a traffic free run. For the novice/youth race a ride on roads in the vicinity of the lakes. Please note mountain or road bikes are suitable for all races.

Entry

Cashing of cheque confirms entry to the race. Withdrawals must inform us in writing – 70% refund given up to 19/08/2010. No refunds after that date. Email: triathlon@thereesgroup.co.uk  Tel: 02380 273657.BTF members must produce a current TE, STA or WTA Race License at Registration.  All entrants to BTF registered events are required to be members of the BTF, therefore the additional fee for non-BTF members shown below includes BTF day membership.

A Children’s Triathlon Coaching day designed to coach Children of all ages and abilities in the three disciplines of Triathlon. The Children will be learning how to pace themselves, in all the disciplines for endurance throughout the race to maximise their efficiency. The sessions will be run by British Triathlon Federation Triathlon Coaches, who are all insured and CRB checked.

Participants will need the following:

Swimming: Trunks/costume, goggles, swim hat and towel.

Cycling: Working bike (road or mountain), Bike helmet, shorts, t-shirt, cycle shoes or trainers.
No Helmet, No ride – there will be no exceptions.
Running: Shorts, t-shirt and trainers.

Please note the Cycling and Running sections will be held outside so it is highly recommended you pack and bring layers, warm and wet for any eventuality. Packed lunches will also be needed as there will be no refreshment availability on site.

Venue
Kings’ School Romsey Road, Winchester, SO22 5PN, two miles from the M3 junction 11 between Southampton and Basingstoke, refreshments available from on site cafe. A 25m pool with toilet and shower facilities, a closed circuit bike and run course for the children and one 10km lap of quiet roads for the youths and novices.
