Eastleigh OPEN Water

Eastleigh Open Water Novice and Sprint Triathlons


  Swim Bike Run
Novice Tri 200m 10km 2.5km
Sprint Tri 400m 20km 5km
Swicle 400m 20km  


(minimum age for Sprint & Novice Tri: 15 as at 31/12/12)

WETSUITS REQUIRED.

 

We are registered with the IPO data protection act. All data will be stored online through password protected ActiveNetwork.

Please note Wetsuits are required for this event. This is a timed event where all finishers will receive a medal and a total race time for their chosen distance. There will also be prizes for first male and female in each distance.


Venue

Eastleigh Lakeside Country Park just off the A335 to Eastleigh from Junction 5 of the M27, and about 5 to 10 minutes walk from Southampton Airport (Parkway) railway station and Southampton Airport.

Course

An outdoor open water swim in the Lakes (200/400m), followed by a tough undulating cycle through Eastleigh and Chandlers Ford (10/20km), then a traffic free run following the popular Eastleigh Parkrun route. (2.5/5km)

The Swicle will follow the same swim and cycle routes as the Sprint Tri.

Please note mountain or road bikes are suitable for all races.

The senior race official on the day will complete a race report which will be returned to British Triathlon in accordance with set guidelines.

You participate entirely at my own risk and accept that the BTA, its agents, the event organisers and their associates are not liable for any loss, damage, claim, expense injury or accidents which may arise as a consequence of negligence at this event.  You will swim/cycle/run with care and attention, abiding by the normal rules of the Highway Code and remain responsible for your own property. You are in good health and have done sufficient training to safely complete the course
